The Galaxy Z Fold 8 might be the most impressive piece of mobile hardware I've used in years. It's unbelievably thin, surprisingly light, and the new Passport-style design completely changes the foldable experience.
But after the honeymoon period wore off, I realized something that has me genuinely worried about Apple's rumored iPhone Ultra.
For all of the productivity features that foldable phones promise, I found myself using the massive 7.6-inch display for one thing more than anything else: content consumption. So, if Apple's foldable iPhone is really going to cost more than $2,000, will most people actually get $2,000 worth of value from it?
In this video, I break down my real-world experience with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, why I think Samsung absolutely nailed the hardware, and why Apple's biggest challenge won't be building a great foldable phone. It'll be convincing people that they actually need one.
