The Garrity family several years after the Clarke comet nearly wiped out humanity, as Earth remains a harsh, unstable wasteland plagued by radiation, extreme weather, and collapsing shelters. Having survived in an underground bunker in Greenland, John, Allison, and their son Nathan are forced to leave when their refuge becomes uninhabitable, pushing them into a dangerous journey across ruined seas and lawless parts of Europe. Along the way, they face violent survivors, devastating losses, and impossible moral choices, all while chasing rumors of a single remaining region near the comet’s impact zone that may still support life. As the family races toward this last habitable land, the film shifts from large-scale disaster to an intimate survival story, emphasizing sacrifice, resilience, and the question of what humanity is willing to endure and give up to begin again after the end of the world.
