METAL 3D PRINTING AT HOME under $20K!! with @ScrapLabs3D! Checking out their new 3D printer at @rmrrf, capable of printing REAL METAL for your business!
The cost of true metal printers has always been CRAZY expensive, but Scrap Labs found a way around it. With preorders under $10K and retail under $20k, they are set to cut the price of the next most affordable solution by more than HALF and other options by more than 1/5!! While metal printing, in this case LPBF, also called Laser Powder Bed Fusion, is quite dangerous and requires special respirators, and other PPE to ensure safety, this brings the cost to something significantly more affordable for small businesses, jewelers, or even the moneybags hobbyist. It is a great stepping stone where you can learn before mistakes cost you more than this printer!
