Aerobic respiration is a chemical reaction that transfers energy to the cells. This means that it is one of the most important reactions that takes place in the body because it provides us with energy. The chemical equation for aerobic respiration is glucose + oxygen is transferred into water, carbon dioxide and energy. Most aerobic respiration takes place in the mitochondria. Aerobic respiration is also the opposite to anaerobic respiration.
