"Camp Pipan" is a private home owned by the Pipan family on Kerr Lake, or Buggs Island Lake on the border of NC and VA. It is a beautiful location for exploring the outdoors, live the true lake life, and a favorite place to visit if you're someone who loves the outdoors! This is a fantastic place to go crappie fishing, bass fishing, or catfish fishing, in addition to kayaking, water skiing, or swimming. There is a lot of wildlife around and we have found beavers and otters to photograph, tons of fun birds to watch and listen for, and hiking trails made by residents of the neighborhood. The opportunities for animal photography are abundant. If you're a hunter, there are wildlife management areas along the lake as well.
Kerr lake sits on the border of NC and VA, and is fed by the Dan and Roanoke Rivers. Lake levels vary depending on the needs of the community downstream, as the lake is used as a reservoir and manages the levels of Lake Gaston to the East.
