Our Aeon 1 test program for Terran 1 paved the way for an accelerated Aeon R campaign for Terran R. The teams are building on key learnings — from engine design to test operations, there is plenty of transferable knowledge and insights that are underpinning Aeon R’s development.

From the rapid Aeon 1 development to an unprecedented pace set by Aeon R. Perspective.
2020 Aeon 1: 56 days from the first integrated engine testing to a successful 187-second MDC.

2023: Aeon R: 2 days from the first integrated engine testing to a successful 143-second MDC.

💡 Compared to Aeon 1’s 23k Ibf thrust, Aeon R boasts over 11 times the thrust at 258k Ibf per engine while also achieving higher efficiency resulting in a shorter burn duration for stage 1.
