As the founder and chief visionary of Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute post-graduate training centers, Jane Wurwand is one of the most recognized and respected authorities in professional skin therapy. Under her leadership, Dermalogica has grown to be the leading professional skin care brand, used by more than 100,000 skin therapists in more than 100 countries around the world. In January, 2011, Wurwand launched FITE – Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship – a global women’s entrepreneurial initiative inspired by her three decades of work within the professional skin care industry. Since its launch, FITE has assisted more than 70,000 women to achieve financial independence as well as gain access to educational programs and leadership training. Most recently, FITE launched a new salon program, FITE Future Entrepreneur, under Secretary Hillary Clinton’s Job One initiative.
Wurwand is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and their Women and Girls Action Committee. She also works closely with the United Nations Foundation as a special advisor on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as serves as a leading private sector partner with UN Women and the United Nations to help move the global gender equality agenda forward.
Natalie Byrne is Director of Global Impact for LA-based skin care brand, Dermalogica. Founded in Los Angeles 30 years ago, Dermalogica has grown into the largest skin care brand committed to women’s development. Natalie is in charge of Dermalogica’s social impact initiatives and runs their FITE initiative (Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship), supporting women in over 70 countries with microloans , scholarships, education and vocational training programs. Under her direction, FITE programs have been part of Secretary Clinton's Job One initiative, the White House Equal Futures partnership and a SDG private sector partner to the United Nations; the program has been featured on MSNBC, Bloomberg and The Guardian as well as the Harvard Kennedy School's Path to Empowerment and US Chamber’s financial inclusion report.
Natalie is a young, dynamic voice on women’s leadership/mentorship, business and global development; and she was honored to be a delegate of President Obama’s at the Global Entrepreneurs Summit in Kenya. Recently named one of MOGUL’s 35 Under 35 and one of Levo League’s Top 100 Millienials transforming the world, Natalie is changing the way businesses look at strategic branding and corporate social responsibility.
