Each year at Advent, St. Lawrence School in Greece holds a friendly competition called the Advent Giving Games. Teachers challenge the students to see which classroom can bring in the most food to be donated to the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf. The food was collected from Dec. 1-12. The first grade class won this year with a total of 1,124 items of food collected. In all, the school collected 4,414 items, or 3,540 pounds for the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf.
