Today’s Advent Shaker Calendar creation involves a chutney jar and some fish stones. Enjoy!

So today’s shaker is, I think, a chutney jar, so a glass jar with its lid, and these wonderful coloured fish stones. Fish stones seem to be my go-to thing for making shakers. It’s got a real ‘spit’ to the sound, it’s really wonderful!

Evelyn is stood in amongst some grey shelves, packed full of percussion instruments of varying shapes, sizes, textures and colours. She shows us the shaker she has created today, as part of her Advent Shaker Calendar (where she is making a new shaker every day in the lead-up to Christmas), describing what it is made from, and then demonstrates it.
