As organizations become more customer-centric and embrace design to solve problems, there is a greater demand for design to scale. However, there are varying levels of design maturity and understanding of how to unlock the full potential of design to impact the organization. While there is no one-size-fits-all solution, it takes more than strong leadership or talented designers to scale and mature the practice to evolve from a team, or function, to an organizational competence. It requires building the right foundation, cultivating key relationships and finding new ways to add value.
Andy Vitale has grown design in large matrixed organizations such as 3M, Polaris, SunTrust, Truist and Rocket Companies. In this session Andy will share some of the tactics that have been successful, as well as others that provided great learning opportunities.
