Florence Price’s Adoration. Florence Price was the first African American woman to have a symphony performed by a major orchestra. She wrote Adoration in 1951, for Organ solo. Due to its timeless beauty, it has been transcribed for many other instrument combinations. We perform a version created for violin and piano by Elaine Fine (store.subitomusic.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=elaine+fine), which we have adapted for cello and piano.
