If you designed your character inside Adobe Animate, importing won’t auto-create a character symbol—so here’s the clean way to do it without destroying your layer structure:
✅ Right-click group → Copy Layers
✅ Insert → New Symbol (Ctrl/Cmd+F8)
✅ Paste Layers inside the new symbol
🚫 Don’t just select the whole character and hit F8 or you can lose the layer setup.
