Soldiers from the 2nd Health Battalion, part of the 2nd Health Brigade, have been taking part in Exercise Viper Walk at Gallipoli Barracks in Enoggera, Queensland.
The troops, many of whom are medical specialists in a range of areas, have been working out of two Role 2 Enhanced treatment facilities, one of which is in an urban environment.
The exercise provides an opportunity for members of the battalion to test their skills in a challenging, realistic scenario, and capabilities at the R2E facilities include a deployable CT scanner, operating theatres, emergency departments, intensive care units, pathology suites and resuscitation areas.
Training alongside 2 HB are members of the RAAF and RAN, as well as service personnel from the United States and New Zealand.
