Swatches and Review for the Adept Cosmetics Vivette Palette!
Thank you to @adeptcosmetics for sending this to me in PR.
So, I think swatches are going to be the only content I have for this palette, given that Adept has a new palette coming out this week that I'm trying to get prepped for. That being the case, let me give you my notes on my thoughts, in case folks were curious:
🐲 The formulas run along the same lines of what I discussed in my Minka review. The mattes are opaque in 2-3 layers, but their strength is in how they layer and blend. This palette mostly consisted of the Squishy Lite and Flaky formulas, which I enjoy, especially since the squishy formula had decent longevity for its formula type.
🐲 This packaging is covered in lace! It's is really pretty, though I'm scared how it will hold up in the long run. Adept's palettes are magnetic, which I am ALWAYS a big fan of, and their shades are labeled on the backs. Love love love.
🐲 The matte black in this palette is DARK AF. Probably the blackest black I've ever seen. Be warned, though: if you use magnets to move your shadows around, this iron-rich color will leap out of the pan onto your tool. Use the pinholes in the back to get this one out.
🐲 I just.... don't know what to do with this color story. The neutral shimmers are themselves stunning, but... why are they here? What looks are they for? And having these bright, mid-toned colors with only a black to deepen them, and only a mid-toned olive to blend them out is... again... confusing. I've largely been using this palette for individual shades.
I respect the vision, trying something different, and no shade to whoever loves this color story. It's not for me, and I'm glad the palettes are magnetic.

For my swatch reels, I only show the final swipe in these videos. Usually, several swipes precede it. My arm is also primed with an eyeshadow primer.
