Today I'm sharing something I've been working on for a while! the addition of metroidvania inspired abilities to my 3d first person survival horror RPG Maker game. I have made abilities inspired by the morph ball, bomb, grappling hook/grapple beam and space jump as seen especially in Metroid Prime.
First upload for a while due to a bit a slow down in my motivation, but I'm hoping to come back in a big way!

Another underrated gem here freedom planet has a soundtrack which comes across to me as a mix of traditional japanese music and sonic inspired funk. Love it!

Another chiptune instrument experiment, this time using a harmonica over a bluesy rock n roll style instrumental.
I actually really like how this turned out. And Im having a lot of fun experimenting with different instruments, its definitely giving my more confidence to experiment in the future.
I have a pretty crazy idea lined up for the finale on the 31st, and one more pretty big idea (which sod it Ill just spoil here, a chiptune song that evolves through 3 generations of console sounds - Gameboy, Genesis then N64).

Chrono Trigger for the SNES is one of the grown gems from the golden age of JRPGs. The games of this specific genre and era are so unique, and Chrono Trigger holds a special place in my heart.
But nothing is sacred from my nostalgia experiments here, so Ive taken the music that plays in Gaurdia Forest, aka secret of the forest and recreated it using 16-bit genesis sound samples.
