Eggshells add grit to the worm bin which the worms use in their gizzard to process the food they take in. Eggshells also help reduce the acidity of the bin and add calcium and trace elements to the finished vermicompost.
Here's how I collect, dry and process my eggshells for adding to the worm bin.
