Tubesteader are making some of the coolest tube preamps in pedal form and I'm loving what they're doing to my direct digital guitar rig. The Tubesteader Magnezium is their dual channel, dual tube preamp pedal based off the Magnatone Super 59 circuit - a circuit that blends shades of Fender Bassman, Marshall Plexi and other flavors to deliver warm clean tones and harmonically rich saturation and crunch.

These tube preamps are excellent options for running with your favorite IR loader or cab simulator for a tube-infused pedalboard amp setup that's convenient and affordable. I'm loving pairing the dynamic tube preamps with the Universal Audio Ox Stomp for a versatile hybrid rig - with the complexity and warmth of real tubes and the flexibility of the Ox Stomp's interface and built-in effects.
