“I’ve discovered that the difference between Paralympics was I was focused on table tennis,” 2024 Adaptive CrossFit Games athlete Thomas Fernandez said. “Now I am helping my disability. Before, I wasn’t able to get up from the floor. ... Now, I can do box jumps, running.”

London 2012 Paralympics table tennis player Fernandez made his first CrossFit Games appearance this weekend in the Men’s Major Neuromuscular division.

As his main sport today, CrossFit has improved how he’s able to function in everyday life.
