Normally Life Jam Guy will just "explain the benefits of life jam" for 3 turns, giving you an opportunity to heal up in the middle of the Boss Rush. But if you try to attack him normally he takes either 0 or 2 damage, making it impossible to kill him with normal attacks, probably.


Interesting to see that he drops 3 life jams if you do kill him though.
