People seem to think that having an accent is a BAD thing, but it's only bad if your accent is so heavy that other people can't understand you. Everyone has an accent -- even the Queen of England!

I start every course on accent bias by asking a simple question: 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩?
Around 25-30% of my audience members answer No. When I ask them why, they usually say that their accent is neutral. But is there such a thing as a neutral accent?
