This is the Hilleberg Jannu 2 person backpacking tent.
It's a clever design that uses 3 tent poles. When the vestibule is pitched into wind, it's extremely strong. The vestibule will deform but the inside space will remain intact.
The space inside is superb with a changeable top vent for ventilation and many other features too.
Likes:
Proper 4 season tent
Hilleberg quality, materials and fixings
Inside space
Easier to pitch in poor conditions
10mm poles make it solid from the front!
Dislikes / Unsure:
Low vestibule (but very, very long)
Fairly weighty
Fairly big pack size
Hard to get in and out of in wind and rain
2026 list price!
Should you buy a Hilleberg Jannu backpacking tent? It's well documented that it can withstand serious adverse weather conditions.
