The Absolute Universe is a new series of books from DC Comics that reimagines the iconic heroes of the Justice League like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Green Arrow in bold and intriguing ways. The Absolute Earth exists separate from Prime Earth in the multiverse, formed by Darkseid’s energy. This corruption causes the heroes to grow up facing harsh disadvantages, such as Wonder Woman being raised in Hell or Batman growing up middle class. Absolute Batman by Scott Snyder has showcased the Dark Knight battling demonic or supercharged versions of classic villains such as Bane, The Joker, Mr. Freeze, and Killer Croc. More Batman-related characters are also set to appear, including Dick Grayson, Clayface, Catwoman, and others.
