Theresa Shoatz and Quincy Saul present "Maroon the Implacable”, a collection of writings by Russell Maroon Shoatz (1943 - 2021). The event was sponsored by the Shawn Greenwood Working Group and took place at the Southside Community Center, April 3, 2013. At that time Mr. Shoatz had been serving a life sentence since 1972 and been in solitary confinement since 1991. He was released from solitary in 2014. He was granted compassionate release on October 26, 2021, due to poor health. He died at his sister's house just 52 days later.
This program premiered on the Public Access Television Channel at the PEGASYS Community Media Center in Ithaca NY as part of the series Over the Shoulder.
