This pipe cleaner bird takes about the same time to make as a real one spends on your windowsill. The difference is it holds still.
Most of us watch birds without ever learning their names. A flash of brown at the feeder, something small on the fence line, gone before you look up properly. Bending one out of fuzzy wire slows that down. You get to decide how the head sits, where the tail angles, how far the wings come off the body — all the things a real bird never stays put long enough to let you study. Hands stay busy, the room goes quiet, and for a while nothing else is asking for you.
