This weekend, rage are celebrating NAIDOC Week with a whole heap of incredible First Nations content.
Firstly, we’ve dug into the Vault to bring you Yothu Yindi’s never-before repeated rage hosting, featuring the band’s incredible late founder and frontman Mandawuy Yunupingu. Filmed in 1992, Yunupingu picked some of his favourite clips from artists like Coloured Stone, John Lennon, Pink Floyd and Tracy Chapman. We'll also be playing everything from Yothu Yindi that we have in the rage Vault, including a handful of clips that haven't been shown in over 25 years!
Plus, we’ve lined up a bunch of classics from Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, Black Arm Band, Saltwater Band, and Pigram Brothers, as well as a few more rarities that haven’t aired in some time including clips from Warumpi Band, Roger Knox, and Blackfire.
Then, to celebrate this year’s NAIDOC Week theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy we’ll be playing some of the best new music videos from the 'next generation' of First Nations artists such as Drifting Clouds, King Stingray, Mulga Bore Hard Rock, Jem Cassar-Daley and heaps more.
