The old Terex 82-40 Dozer worked at the Heaphy coal mine for many years, it was replaced by a more modern Cat D9 16 years ago.
It hasn't run since it was parked up all those years ago, we tried to get it started at the mine but burned out the starter motor, so it was pulled on to a transporter and taken back to the workshop.
We now have a new starter motor so will attempt to fire it up one more time, If we can't get it running this time, the engine will be lifted out, stripped down and reconditioned.
