Tucked away in the woods behind an active railroad line sits this abandoned tenant-style farmhouse. It’s a modest house—lived in until around the 1970s—that reflects the poverty and hard living that was common in this part of the rural South.

We caught a train coming through while filming, which felt like stepping back in time. But what really caught our attention was the fact that something is still living inside this house.

These places often get overlooked in preservation efforts, but they tell real stories—and they deserve to be documented.
