Abandoned early Australian post office I explored beginning of last Spring that really was a risky explore due to the extent of deterioration to the dwelling. I'm pretty sure it was a post office but I could be wrong but I don't think so. Ha! The termites have almost completely destroyed this place and as you can hear in the video I wasn't lying about how risky it was. This place is once again in Northern NSW of Australia and sort of in the region of Tenterfield. I'd have to say the patina of some of the internal lining timbers was beautiful and with people looking for aged timber for interior decorating and lining walls etc I'm surprised they are still there. Thank goodness for isolation huh! I might just go back soon and get me some of those boards since I maybe building a house soon and they would look great on a feature wall. Anyway, I digress.
YES, I had sensible shoes on for all my concerned viewers out there that don't think my thongs are sensible footwear for exploring. They will be back. I'm not still and with the weather heating up like it had so early, it was prime snake weather to be coming out of hibernation. It looked like some one had swatted in the bedroom a while back from the state of belongings in that room. It did seem odd that the dunny was so far removed from the house yet there was the other one closer to the house with the mummified lizard remains. I wouldn't be surprised if the house has totally collapsed on my next visit. Leave a comment and give me a thumbs up.
