#Abandoned house I was recently lucky enough to finally get to #explore after 16 years of waiting.
This #abandonedhouse is not far from home and I have driven past it so many times over the last 16 years that I have lived in the area.
I first stopped it when I moved into the area and was never too sure if anyone still lived in it or not.
I did venture down to it on one occasion to see if anyone was around but back then it was all still locked up and looked in a much sounder condition than it does now and the roof was still intact plus the cladding around the house was still in position.
I did look into the office window and it looked like some one was still around but on further investigation this time it almost still looks like someone has been using it recently.
It was a very stressful #explore because of the state of the building and with the wind howling outside it was making the house move from time to time. Because of the state of the piers and the missing room and the slanting floors plus the termite damage, I do have to admit that it was probably a dangerous thing for me to go inside but hay, I didn't wait 16 years to not go in and have a proper look.
Yes, I did carry on like a pork chop on occasion but stress and fear of life will do that to you.
God only knows what was on the bed but I'm sure you can tell it wasn't good from all my retching.
Great old house. Glad I did finally get to explore it. Shame it is about to collapse and shame about the really bad environmental hazard leaching toxic waste into the ground from all the old paint cans heaped in the yard.
