We filmed this documentary at night to capture its massive cellar, production rooms, and the strange details still left behind, including a basement bed that points to overnight cellar work and a rare carrying chair stored ready for use.

The palace began with the Barros family and later passed to the Pereira family, who turned it into serious wine production. Records also trace this site back much further, with earlier fortification history long before the residential estate expanded.

But the most unsettling part is the chapel. A scandal is tied to this palace, and locals claim the family staged a “crying statue” miracle to draw visitors and donations until the story collapsed and their name never recovered. Abandoned for about five years, the history is still inside.
