An abandoned explore I just happened to find by chance while out looking for an abandoned crystal mine not too long ago.
While out searching for the mine I found this cute little cabin and what was even better was the very well preserved 30's caravan that had at some point been built into the dwelling. The cabin was cute and a nice little distraction from the frustration of NOT finding the crystal mine but the true star in this find was the van. Totally original, made out of Masonite and a restorers dream.
I would love to be able to have this caravan to restore back to it's former glory and after some research on the type of van it was, found out that a restore van like this from the 30's is worth around $30,000 aus dollars. Money aside I would just love to own it. maybe one day I will head back and try to find out who might own it and see if I could obtain it. How it got to where it is now is interesting because I had to navigate some hairy dirt track to get to where it was plus try and cross a rocky river bed in my 4wd to get there. Anyways, cute little explore, maybe from the look of what was in the cabin a single guy escaping the world that may have had a slight drinking problem?
