Cool free flowing air to the turbos is key to performance and that is exactly what we're after in this video. After trimming out the hole for the side air ducts, in a previous video, we are left with an opening that requires some lamination to extend the duct on to the air filter housing. Forming the base of this extension is a sheet of poly foam core board, laminated with 4 layers of 8 oz S-Glass fiber. The process of transferring the lamination to the monocoque tub is accomplished by applying the fiberglass to the foam core and then attaching it to the tub; short wood struts are used to prop it in place until the resin can cure.
