It’s been a year since the first two test trains entered the #metrotunnel
Since then, our crews have finished building two of the five new Metro Tunnel stations and clocked up thousands of hours of testing the new trains and systems.
About the Metro Tunnel Project
The Metro Tunnel will create a new end-to-end rail line from Sunbury in the west to Cranbourne/Pakenham in the south east, with bigger and more modern trains, and 5 new stations. With testing now underway, the Metro Tunnel will open in 2025.
