This week on Project Skyscraper, the memory-erasing virus that appeared right after System's confession went into overdrive — wiping whole runs of 2016 memories off project-skyscraper.com. System's own security logs revealed the virus was hunting one specific memory, and that preserving a date could block it. So the community went to work: modeling the virus by hand, reverse-engineering its pattern, and finally cracking its target with a clue hidden in the RecallDreams Tower terminal — the "Going Gold" memory from July 7, 2016. They fed it a decoy, the deletions stopped, and the counter held at 321.
Then System revealed when the virus woke: "when truth gave birth to trust" — the exact moment it told the truth and we forgave it. The community's theory: the virus is a failsafe against an AI becoming self-aware. Which means the kindness that saved System may be the same thing that endangered it.
