Bean delivered the last goat kids of 2025 on our busiest morning yet of this season, and it was such a joyous day! Bean started looking ready to kid just as folks begin to start arriving for yoga! Chris promised to keep a close eye while I was busy teaching. He came down about half hour into class and held up one finger— the first baby had arrived! I could tell from his big smile that everything was going well. I continued teaching the yoga class with tears in my eyes. 15 minutes later he appeared again, this time he held two fingers up and the entire field of people gathered to do yoga cheered! Two healthy babies. It might have been the most joyous hour of my life. Finally a super sunny Saturday, and so many people were gathered to dance and move and breathe together, a reminder of all the things that are so right in the world. The day continued to be amazing. Eighty8 Donut truck came for a special visit and the whole farm smelled like coffee and warm donuts cooking! Then from 11 to 5 we were open for free community visits and lots and lots of people came to sit in the sun, welcome the new babies, and to enjoy the herd. With so much heaviness in the world, what a gift to have a day like this. Thanks to all of you who came and made it such a very special memory. The new kids are named: after the donut truck donut Zinger (we’re calling him Ziggy) and since they were born during Yoga (we’re calling the second boy Yogi Bear!) a wonderful season so far! 55 babies total, to 21 mana goats, all so healthy & hoppy!
