Almost ran out of a crucial piece, used my only broom in old brown, and found out how much train magnets cost, but the Hopper car is now complete and 100% original.
A 2001 set that sold for $20 is now going for triple that price on Bricklink, but I can't figure out where that much extra value came from after accounting for the usual expensive train-specific components. I was able to build with parts already on hand, so it probably works out to about $10 worth of pieces that I have stockpiled over the last few years.
