The quadrant photoreceivers (QPRs) in LISA must feature an input-referred current noise below 2 pA/sqrt(Hz) at 25 MHz to avoid degradation of the signal-to-noise ratio. This talk presents a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) based on bipolar transistors with an input-referred current noise below 1.5 pA/sqrt/(Hz) at 25 MHz. The transistor-based TIA also shows a 56 mW power consumption and a 37 MHz 3-dB bandwidth, meeting the specs for the LISA QPRs.
