Art in Los Angeles isn’t just in museums; it's built into the city itself.
In this episode Nathan Masters explores how the visual identity of Los Angeles is shaped by art. At Judson Studios, artisans have been creating stained glass for over a century, contributing to landmarks across the region while continuing to evolve the craft through new techniques and collaborations.
At the Museum of Neon Art, once, discarded signs are preserved as cultural artifacts, carrying the stories of neighborhoods, small businesses, and communities across the city. Nathan also visits the restored Home Savings and Loan mosaic by artist Millard Sheets, a large, scale work that was carefully removed and reinstalled after its original building was demolished.
