I didn’t expect to see this bird on a day out in the UK! I think it’s a Greater Rhea, native to South America. Greater Rheas are large flightless birds, related to emus and ostriches. Adults are typically 1.4-1.7 m (55-67 in) tall and weigh around 20-27 kg (44-60 lb).
