A compilation of birds that visited my UK garden during November. Winter is nearly here in the UK and the berries on the shrubs in the garden are adding a welcome splash of colour. The local Blackbirds and Wood Pigeons are taking full advantage of the berries, which are an important food source for garden birds at this time of year.
The bird feeders and bird table are also getting busier with Robins, Dunnock, Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Goldfinches, House Sparrows, Collared Doves and Jackdaws all visiting regularly. The Goldfinches are particularly fond of nyger seeds but are also feeding on sunflower hearts. The Blue Tits and Coal Tits preference is for sunflower seeds but, like the Goldfinches, they are also feeding on sunflower hearts. The House Sparrows usually feed on the mixed seed feeder.
