On a tiny coral island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, between virgin white beaches, thick green foliage, and a crystal blue lagoon, sits something completely unexpected. Locals call it “the Tomb.”
From a distance, it looks like an alien spacecraft, downed in paradise. But on closer inspection, it’s a vast concrete dome, half-buried in sand and tangled in vines. There’s no fence to keep people out. No sign explaining what it is. Just a single set of numbers carved into its summit: 1979.
Nothing indicates that this bizarre structure, in fact, conceals a nuclear disaster with Chernobyl-like radiation levels. Yet this was no accident - and it’s set to get drastically worse…
