An unusual spectacle, seeing a 150 year old steam locomotive running down the centre of England's capital city, taking part in a parade that stems back 800 years. The first Lady Mayor's Show saw over 100 participants celebrating the best of London, and welcoming Dame Susan Langley aboard a 1700s golden state coach. With St. Paul's Cathedral looming overhead, here is a front-row view of the musical procession and a historical explanation as to why this is so symbolic.
Here's a video that I didn't know I'd be making this time last week! Bluebell Railway announced that Fenchurch would be going on parade as part of the Lady Mayor's show on Saturday 8th November 2025, when I happened to be in London visiting friends anyway. So, a happy occasion seeing another of Stroudley's Terriers in the city centre. Thanks to Mehdy for the extra photos.
