We know some stars end up as a blackhole. These are large stars that first explode as a supernova, and then they collapse into a blackhole. But now astronomers may have detected a star that collapsed directly into a blackhole. No supernova! In this episode of Mr Universe, Monte and Salman chat about this discovery and how the newly operational Ver Rubin telescope promises to discover millions more of such objects.
