One of the most typical ways to travel between Japan's four biggest cities (Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka & Nagoya) is via the Tokaido Shinkansen. Opened in 1964, it was the world's first high speed railway, and revolutionised rail travel between the Kanto and Kansai regions, connecting families in businesses down to daily visits.
During my trip in Japan, we take a trip down the Tokaido Shinkansen to Kyoto, then a few days later return back to Tokyo from Shin-Osaka.
