What would for now be the final V Sets to operate under their own power (until further notice), V Sets V44, V45 & V46 operate as a 12 car transfer through Rooty Hill as they travel from Flemington Maintenance Centre to Lithgow where they once again return to storage. It is speculated that these cars have been set aside for interest by various heritage operators.
