A storm overnight shut down my off-grid Hydro power.
By morning I found a rockfall had smashed a section of the pipes feeding my micro hydro turbine, cutting electricity to the house and workshop.
In this video I head down to the stream, remove the damaged pipes, clear the water intake, and rebuild the system using spare recycled 4-inch alloy irrigation pipes from an old market garden. Once everything is back together, the turbine is producing around 600 watts again and the power is restored.
