Ian Sloan wasn’t just a motorcyclist. He was a friend. A father. A husband. A papa.

On Saturday, 15 June, 2024, Ian lost his life in a motorcycle collision.

Ian had set off on a familiar journey to visit a friend, a trip he had done many times and for many years before. Except that day, Ian didn’t return home.

As part of our National Motorcycle Safety Campaign, Shirley shares her family’s story with us to remember her husband, Ian, and to help remind all road users to take care on our roads.

Everyone is someone to somebody on our roads. Every road user has a role to play in keeping our roads safe.
