Dr. DeVitoโs research explores a new approach to colorectal cancer care that uses immunotherapy alone, without chemotherapy. For younger patients like Spencer, avoiding the side effects commonly associated with chemo has made a meaningful difference, allowing him to stay active, continue working, and remain present for his wife, CarleyAnn, and other family members while undergoing treatment. Spencer's medical journey has deepened his faith which he attributes to supporting his healing.
