Members of the Duke University community gathered to honor the legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Duke University celebrated with an annual commemoration service held in Duke Chapel. Judge Jerry Blackwell offered remarks on the legacy of Dr. King in America and on the strength we have in unity. Duke students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the Durham community also gathered for a unity rally, meal packing and backpack service event to the local community.
