College isn’t designed for all people seeking post-secondary education: people who have families, full-time careers, and who don't have the time or money for traditional degrees. Those students make up 70% of Americans seeking education beyond high school – but the fixed credit-hour model often holds them back from pursuing their dreams. 45 million people start their college journey, but never get across the finish line.

PelotonU founder Hudson Baird drew inspiration from the sport of cycling, where a group of cyclists called a 'peloton' work together to go further and faster than they could ever manage alone. With this in mind, he built a new kind of school, designed for the 70%: PelotonU students have community support, one-on-one coaching, and a self-directed curriculum that emphasizes mastery, not test scores, to help them realize their full potential and access their dreams.
